SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon
scrap in
Taiwan have remained unchanged since last week and are still quoted at NTD 10,500-11,400/mt ($350-380/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel
scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have trended down over the same period, losing by INR 2,000/mt ($67/mt) and are now at NTD 52,000-57,000/mt ($1,734-1,901/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for middle and late August shipments.
