SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have moved down by NTD 300/mt during the past week to NTD 7,100-7,400/mt ($234-245/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have not changed over the past week, remaining at NTD 35,000-39,000/mt ($1,158-1,290/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late May shipments.
