Despite stable iron ore prices in the Chinese spot market, the price of iron ore in Brazil declined in average by $1/mt from last week.
Sinter feed fines of 65 percent iron contents are now traded for export at $76/mt, lumps at $79/mt and blast furnace grade pellets at $121/mt, FOB conditions.
In the domestic market, the prices are now $69/mt for sinter feed fines, $73/mt for lumps and $115/mt for blast furnace grade pellets, ex-works, no taxes included.
Blast furnace grade pellets are reportedly commanding a premium of $45/mt over sinter feed fines, while for the DRI grade pellets the premium is $54/mt.
