Brazil exported 7,200 mt of niobium ferroalloys in August, 17 percent more than in July, at an average FOB price reduced by 2.2 percent to $19,702/mt.
Exports by CBMM, the world’s largest producer, increased by 21.7 percent to 6,200 mt, while exports by the local arm of Anglo American declined by 4.9 percent to 1,000 mt.
The FOB export price by CBMM was $19,639/mt, while the price by Anglo American was $20,179/mt FOB.
The main destination was Asia (3,100 mt) followed by the EU (3,000 mt), the US (600 mt), and Canada (100 mt).
In the Brazilian domestic market, the product remains sold at the equivalent to $20,100/mt ex-works, full taxes conditions.
