Wire rod prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 37

Wire rod prices in the local Taiwanese steel market are at the following levels:

Low carbon 5.5-12 mm

NTD 18,200-20,000/mt ($607-667/mt)

Medium carbon 5.5-12 mm

NTD 21,800-22,500/mt ($727-750/mt)

High carbon 5.5-12 mm

NTD 21,800-22,500/mt ($727-750/mt)

Low alloyed 5.5-12 mm

NTD 24,000-25,000/mt ($800-834/mt)

CHQ 5.5-32 mm

NTD 22,800-23,800/mt ($760-794/mt)

The above prices include five percent VAT, delivered to customer and are also for end of September shipments.  The medium and high carbon wire rod prices have decreased by NTD 200/mt ($7/mt) since last week, while the prices of other specifications have remained unchanged.
