Different local sources told SteelOrbis that Brazilian exporters have not increased their prices for negotiations of wire rod.

An approximate 10 percent increase was announced for March and postponed for April 3, but according to sources, the proposed increase has halted fresh sales.

As such, current Brazilian wire rod export prices remain at $605/mt for the drawing grade product and $587/mt for the mesh grade, both FOB conditions.

With price deals closed in December, ArcelorMittal exported in February at $490/mt, Gerdau at $442/mt and Votorantim at $519/mt, all FOB conditions.
