In a letter to customers Thursday, Nucor-Yamato announced that effective with new orders December 11, the price of select wide flange beams and structural channels will decrease by $2.00 cwt. ($40/nt or $44mt).

According to the letter, the move is a response to current offers and the recent arrivals of imports from Korea, Luxembourg, Russia, Germany, Mexico, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Taiwan, United Kingdom and Japan.

Sources have confirmed to SteelOrbis that Steel Dynamic, Inc. and Gerdau Long Steel North America will also implement the decrease.
