Uptrend of domestic rebar prices in Turkey continues unabated

With import scrap prices in Turkey moving upwards since February 3 and amid increased expectations of a further rise in domestic rebar quotations, demand in the local Turkish rebar market has improved slightly during the past week, while Turkish traders have continued to raise their domestic rebar prices. Accordingly, domestic rebar quotations in Turkey have increased by TRY 25-60/mt compared to the price levels recorded on February 9. No decline in domestic rebar prices in Turkey is expected in the short term.
