Turkish producers reduce their merchant bar export prices

According to market sources, Turkish producers’ merchant bar export prices have decreased by $5/mt over the past three weeks, while demand has remained on the weak side. Even though import and domestic billet prices have increased in Turkey, Turkish producers have had to revise their merchant bar export prices downwards due to slack demand in the export markets. Nevertheless, Turkish exporters have concluded sales of small merchant bar tonnages to North Africa and the Caribbean.
