As today, July 23, Turkish steel producer Kardemir has revised its billet sales prices due to low-priced Chinese billet offers and amid slack demand. Accordingly, the mill opened its sales for S235JR grade billets at the level of $350/mt ex-works and for MT III-A grade billets at $355/mt ex-works, both excluding VAT, with 50 percent on cash payment basis, with 50 percent on 45-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral. Compared to the price list issued on July 10, the producer has reduced its billet prices by $10/mt.
