Turkish mills are aiming at a level of $600/mt FOB and above for mesh quality wire rod exports for April/May shipments. Last week, the bookings concluded to the Iberian Peninsula were at $580-585/mt FOB Turkish ports. Furthermore, the export tax imposed last week on Egyptian origin long products may boost the prospects for the Turkish mills in eastern and southern Europe.
