Last week, Turkish wire rod export prices had moved downwards as Turkish mills’ production costs decreased against the backdrop of the downtrend seen since the first week of January in global scrap prices, which gained momentum as of the third week of the month. In the current week, the reduced prices of Turkish wire rod have started to attract buyers in the export markets, also since Chinese suppliers are not currently active in the export markets due to the Chinese New Year holiday. In this content, Turkish wire rod export prices have remained stable week on week at $430-440/mt FOB.
