SteelOrbis is reported that latest Turkish rebar offers to the UAE market are around $490/mt on CFR basis. Taking into consideration the 5% import duty and clearance costs, the landed price reaches a level of $520-525/mt which is said to be high for the domestic contractors. The requested price by local contractors is reported to be around $500/mt, almost equal to the Turkish CFR price level. GCC mills are trying to increase their market share with lower prices, while Turkish mills also compete with their own material in stock, exported in earlier deliveries.
