SteelOrbis is informed that Turkish mills are offering rebars for export to destinations other than the US and Persian Gulf markets at $825/mt FOB and above on actual weight basis for April/May shipments.

Most of the Turkish rebar producers have filled their order books for April shipment. Moreover, some producers have completed a significant number of orders for May. It is heard that some producers are currently not in the market and that they are targeting a price level of $850/mt FOB. Europe and the US still seem to be the weakest export markets, while Africa, the Far East, Middle East and Persian Gulf are considered to be the strongest.

The latest deals concluded to the UAE were at $840-850/mt CFR on a theoretical weight basis. The Turkish producers are pushing for levels of $855/mt CFR and above for May.
