Turkish mill Kardemir’s billet prices

Following the announcement by Turkish steel producer Kardemir on December 8 that it will conclude its finished steel sales on Turkish lira basis as of December 9, the steel mill has issued its domestic billet sales prices on Turkish lira basis today (Dec. 9), having previously announced domestic billet sales prices on November 21.
 
Accordingly, Kardemir has opened its sales for S235JR grade billets at the level of TRY 1,350/mt ($392/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, and has also opened its sales for MT III-A grade billets at TRY 1,365/mt ($397/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, with 25 percent on cash payment basis and with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral. Compared to the price list issued on November 21, the producer has kept its billet prices stable on US dollar basis.
