SteelOrbis has learned that the current rebar prices in the Turkish domestic market are as follows:

Region

Product

Price

Marmara

8 mm

TRY 1,070/mt (approx. $594/mt)

Marmara

12 mm

TRY 1,050/mt (approx. $583/mt)

Karabük

8 mm

TRY 1,000/mt (approx. $555/mt)

Karabük

12 mm

TRY 980/mt (approx. $544/mt)

Price levels in the local Turkish rebar market have been continuing to increase. However, producers and traders have sometimes been refraining mentioning price levels due to the continuously rising prices of raw material, semis and finished steel products. As of today, no certain price level has been mentioned; especially in Iskenderun and Izmır, prices are being expected to be shaped after tomorrow. With price levels at TRY 1,100/mt ($611/mt excluding VAT) in the Samsun region, it is heard that Kardemir has sold 20,000 mt of rebars.

The above TRY prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and including VAT, while the US$ prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and excluding VAT.

US$1  = TRY 1.52598
