Turkish billet export offers

Turkish billet export offers are currently at $460-465/mt FOB for March shipments. Because of the strong local market, there is not so much billet available for export. Therefore, Turkish producers are not offering much billet at the moment. Nevertheless, small quantities of billets could be allocated for export due to the bad situation of the wire rod market compared to the debar and billet markets. Most wire rod producers currently prefer to sell billet at 460-465$/mt FOB, instead of selling wire rod at 480-485$/mt FOB.
