Turkey’s Kardemir closes its billet sales

Turkish steel producer Kardemir has closed its billet sales today, January 20, after selling about 140,000 mt of billet in total. The mill had opened its sales on December 25 at the level of $287/mt ex-works for S235JR billet and at $292/mt ex-works for MT III-A billet, excluding VAT and had revised these prices downwards to $275/mt and $280/mt respectively on January 19.
