Turkey-based Kardemir revises its domestic rebar prices

As per its new price list dated September 29, Turkish steel producer Kardemir has revised its domestic rebar prices after selling about 44,000 mt of rebar in total following the opening of its sales on September 27. Accordingly, Kardemir has reopened its domestic sales for rebar at the level of TRY 1,135/mt ($381/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, for 1,000 mt and above orders, with 25 percent on cash payment basis, with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral. Compared to the price list issued on September 27, the producer's rebar prices have increased by TRY 16/mt, though prices on US dollar basis have moved up by $3/mt due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate.
