In the local Turkish wire rod market, demand which had revived slightly in the previous week, has once again picked up slightly during the past week, while domestic wire rod prices have continued their upward movement. Turkish buyers' expectations for a further increase in domestic wire rod quotations have strengthened over the past week amid the upward trend of import scrap prices since the beginning of February and also due to the rising movement of global billet and long steel prices as of last week. Accordingly, buyers in Turkey have accelerated their wire rod purchases.
