Trading activity in the local Turkish rebar market has been slow since the beginning of the current week, while buyers, whose inventories are currently full, have maintained a wait-and-see stance due to the uncertainty prevailing in the market amid the ongoing depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. Demand is still sluggish, having failed to improve from the low levels seen at the beginning of the current week. Meanwhile, domestic rebar prices in Turkey have fallen by TRY 10-30/mt since November 21.
