It is observed that buyers in the local Turkish rebar market prefer to postpone their rebar purchases ahead of the end-of-Ramadan holiday. Buyers are unsure of the trend of the market considering the price fluctuations seen this week and so they are only concluding deals in line with their needs. The fluctuations seen in domestic rebar prices have been caused by occasional tightness of supply seen in some regions and also by the trend of the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate. On the other hand, after fluctuating since the beginning of the current week until today, June 22, domestic rebar quotations have declined to their previous levels recorded on June 19, though prices on US dollar basis in the overall domestic market have moved down by $1-2/mt due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate.
