Demand in the local Iranian rebar market is currently at low levels, while domestic rebar prices in the country are at $425-430/mt ex-works. Meanwhile, it is believed that buyers will prefer to postpone their rebar purchases ahead of the presidential election to be held on May 19 and so demand is not expected to show any significant improvement in the coming period.
