Shagang issues rebar and wire rod prices for mid-Feb delivery

Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shagang Group has adjusted its ex-works prices of rebar and wire rod for mid-February (Feb. 11-20) delivery, with comparisons compared to prices for delivery in early February (Feb. 1-10) which were issued on February 1.

1.     Rebar prices have remained stable. Accordingly, 14-25 mm HRB 400 rebar is still priced at RMB 2,500/mt ($407/mt). There are extras of RMB 100/mt ($16/mt), RMB 60/mt ($9/mt), RMB 50/mt ($8/mt), RMB 250/mt ($41/mt) and RMB 30/mt ($4.5/mt) for 10 mm, 12 mm  28-32 mm, 36 and 40 mm, and anti-seismic rebar, respectively. Meanwhile, 14-25 mm HRB 500 costs more RMB 150/mt ($25/mt) more than HRB 400 rebar.

2.     Wire rod prices have been reduced by RMB 80/mt ($13/mt). Accordingly, 6.5 mm HPB 300 common carbon wire rod is now priced at RMB 2,490/mt.

3.     Coiled bar prices have decreased by RMB 80/mt ($13/mt). As a result, 8-10 mm HRB 400 coiled bar is now priced at RMB 2,500/mt ($407/mt), while there are price extras of RMB 200/mt ($32/mt) and RMB 30/mt $4.5/mt) for 6 mm HRB 400 coiled bar and anti-seismic coiled bar respectively.
 
All the above prices include 17 percent VAT.
