Rebar export prices from southern Europe soften slightly

According to market sources, Spanish rebar offers to the export markets have decreased by €5/mt ($6/mt) on the low end over the past week to €310-320/mt ($329-340/mt) FOB, for December shipment.

Market sources state that buyers' inquiries in Algeria - Spanish and Italian exporters' most important rebar market - have remained on the weak side. However, buyers are experiencing some difficulties purchasing rebar from southern Europe since traders have started to close their sales due to year-end considerations.
