According to market sources, prices in the local Turkish rebar spot market has declined since February 1, except Karabuk region. Since Turkish lira, which have been losing strength against the US dollar for a long time, has succeeded to decline to 2.90 rank today, prices in Turkish rebar spot market have moved downwards. Meanwhile, one producer in Izmir region and four producers in Iskenderun region have announced the beginning of maintenance work in their mills this week, which leads the expectation of tightness in domestic rebar supplies in spot market soon.
