Export rebar prices from Brazil are now based on a price reference point of $600/mt, FOB conditions, comparable with a range of $550/mt to $560/mt two weeks ago.

According to a local exporter, all longs export products are currently in a pricing uptrend due to increased demand from South America and the Caribbean, which are the main markets of the Brazilian rebars.

In July, with price deals probably closed in May, Gerdau exported rebar at $471/mt, while the Votorantim group exported at $512/mt, both FOB conditions.
