Rebar prices in the Italian market

SteelOrbis has been informed that the local price of medium size rebar in the Italian market is currently at €600/mt ($881/mt) ex-works on actual weight and open account basis.

The base prices for rebar in the Italian domestic market stand at around €385/mt ($565/mt). It is observed that there is a variety of price levels in this market. Traders and end-users are abstaining from purchasing large tonnages in the local Italian market. Discounts of up to €50/mt for purchases of large tonnages (1,000 mt and above) are being observed in this market. It is reported that price levels are reaching €650/mt ($955/mt) for small tonnages (100 mt and below).
