Rebar prices in local Turkish market

Prices in Turkish Lira basis are fluctuating according to the movements of exchange rate. However, the market is very strong in US Dollar basis. Domestic traders and producers are hopeful about the course. Traders's stock levels are not high and they are considering to make huge purchases, after the exchange rate is stabilized.

The new prices are at the following levels:     

Marmara region:

8-12 mm

TRY 900-920/mt ($596-609/mt)

Payas region:

Small dia.

TRY 910/mt ($602/mt)

Large dia.

TRY 900/mt ($596/mt)

Izmir region:

8 mm

TRY 900/mt ($596/mt)

10 mm

TRY 890/mt ($589/mt)

12 mm

TRY 880/mt ($583/mt)

Sivas region:

12 mm

TRY 880/mt ($583/mt)

All TRY prices include 18 percent VAT and are ex-works.

USD equivalents exclude VAT.
