Rebar prices in local Turkish market

The demand in the Turkish rebar market has picked up slightly. Although the US Dollar prices are at $575/mt, a slight rise was recorded in TRY prices due to the softening in the US Dollar exchange rate. It is possible to find prices at TRY 950-960/mt in Payas. Some of the producers in the Marmara region are currently out of the market. Sivas Demir Celik is also out of the market. The new prices are at the following levels:

Marmara Region: 

8-12 mm TRY 930-935/mt (approx. $570-573/mt)   


Payas area: 
Small dia:  TRY 970/mt (approx. $595/mt)
Large dia:  TRY 960/mt (approx. $589/mt) 


Izmir area: 

8 mm  TRY 920-940/mt (approx. $564-576/mt) 
10 mm TRY 930-950/mt (approx. $570-582/mt)
12 mm TRY 940-960/mt (approx. $576-589/mt)

All TRY prices include 18 percent VAT and are ex-works. USD equivalents exclude VAT 1 USD = 1.3822 TRY
