The Italian mills are offering medium size rebars to the local market at price levels of €655-665/mt ($1,044-1,060/mt) ex-works, with two to three months open account, excluding VAT.
The Italian producers are increasing their rebar prices thanks to the strong export and scrap prices. However, the demand level in the local Italian market is not so good.
On the export side, the Italian producers are offering at €640-650/mt ($1,020-1,036/mt) FOB. It is heard that there is strong demand from Germany in particular.
