Rebar price level in the Romanian market

SteelOrbis has learned that domestic traders in Romania have been offering imported 8 mm rebars to the local market at the price level of €890/mt ($1,378/mt) delivered to customer, excluding VAT, on actual weight basis with 30-day deferred payment; meanwhile, the traders are offering imported 12 mm rebars at the price level of €870/mt ($1,445/mt) delivered to customer with the same terms.

The price for rebar in the local Romanian market stands at higher levels compared with prices in southern European countries. It is heard that there have been rebar offers from Turkey to Romania at $1,300-1,310/mt CFR Romania. In addition, it is reported that Polish rebar producers have been offering rebars to Romania at around €820/mt ($1,270/mt) CFR Romania.
