After the Christmas holidays the Italian rebar producers have been increasing their prices. Their base prices last week were at the level of €260-270/mt (€455-465/mt ex-works), excluding VAT, on actual weight basis. However, the Italian producers are now targeting the base price level of €280/mt and above.

On the other hand, it is heard that the Italian producers' offers to the export market for February shipments have reached the price level of €480/mt ($706/mt) FOB Italy.
