Spanish producers have been offering Spanish origin 12 mm B500S rebar to the local market at around €590/mt ($863/mt) ex-works on actual weight basis with 30-day deferred payment, excluding VAT.

Despite the fact that the base prices announced by producers in the local Spanish rebar market have been at the level of €370/mt ($541/mt), no sales have been concluded at these levels. The base transaction prices in the market are generally at €350/mt ($512/mt). This price is equivalent to €570/mt ($833/mt) ex-works. End-user demand still lacks strength in Spain, just as in the other southern European markets. Buyers are unwilling to purchase large tonnages at the abovementioned price levels.
