Greek producers have been offering Greece-origin rebars to the local market at €550/mt ($806/mt) delivered to warehouse on actual weight basis with 90-day deferred payment, excluding VAT.

Despite the abovementioned price level announced by the Greek mills, it is still possible to see price levels as low as €540/mt ($791/mt) excluding VAT in the local Greek market. Although there have been some upward movements in the market in question, demand has not been at any considerable level, like the situation in the overall southern European market. The Greek rebar market would currently seem to be closed to imports coming from Italy.
