production rebars for export to Algeria at around $540/mt FOB on actual weight basis.
Ukrainian offers are slightly higher for Northern and Eastern
Africa, and for
Russia. Ukrainian prices have decreased as expected. However, despite the decline, it seems difficult for Ukrainians to compete with the Italians in Algeria. Therefore, Ukrainian producers may switch their exports to
Russia and to Northern and Eastern
Europe.
