Brazilian producers exported 36,600 mt of rebar in June, 26 percent less than in May, at an average FOB price 3.7 percent higher, at $482/mt, FOB conditions.

The volume was almost entirely exported by Gerdau, with 34,000 mt at $479/mt, while the Votorantim group exported 2,300 mt at $501/mt, both FOB conditions. Additionally, small tonnages were exported by Vetorial and Sinobras.

The main destinations for Brazilian rebar exports were South American countries (26,000 mt) and the Caribbean (6,500 mt).

The most recent rebar export deals are reportedly being negotiated at $486/mt, FOB conditions, with the CA50 grade, 10mm thickness product as reference.
