Rebar buyers in UAE wait to see new offers before concluding deals

This week, rebar prices in the UAE domestic market are standing at AED 2,540/mt ($692/mt) ex-warehouse, on theoretical weight basis.

UAE-based integrated steel producer Emirates Steel Industries (ESI) and Qatar-based long steel and billet producer Qatar are expected to announce their July output rebar prices in the coming week. In addition, while rebar demand has remained at normal levels, buyers in the local UAE market first want to see these mills' offers, before considering ex-Turkey rebar offers.
