The slight revival in demand recorded in the local Turkish rebar market last week has not been sustained, with trading activity in the market making a quiet start to the current week. Despite the ongoing upward movement of import scrap quotations in Turkey, traders have mostly reduced their domestic rebar prices by TRY 5-10/mt compared to price levels recorded on March 9 due to the weakness of demand, except in the Iskenderun region where prices have remained stable.
