According to market sources, Qatari steelmaker Qatar Steel has decreased its rebar offers for August production by QAR 70/mt ($19/mt) compared to its price levels for July production to QAR 1,750/mt ($481/mt) ex-works. Market sources state that, while a bigger decline in prices was expected, demand for rebar in the local Qatari market is currently strong, thereby preventing prices from falling further.
