According to market sources, Turkish producers' domestic billet prices have remained unchanged over the past week at $320-340/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT and for October delivery. Turkish billet suppliers state that buyers' firm bids are at $300-310/mt ex-works and no new sales have been concluded since last week. Turkish producers have not accepted buyers' firm bids yet since they prefer to maintain a wait-and-see approach before the November 1 general election in Turkey. Meanwhile, ex-China billet prices for Turkey are at $275/mt CFR, while ex-CIS billet prices for the same destination are at $285-290/mt CFR.
