Producers keep rebar prices unchanged in UAE

As expected, local producers' rebar prices have been announced in the UAE domestic market, with prices remaining unchanged as compared to last month.
 
Accordingly, Dubai-based integrated steel producer Emirates Steel Industries (ESI) is maintaining its rebar prices for June unchanged as compared to May price level of AED 2,535/mt ($691/mt) ex-works.
 
In the meantime, Qatar-based long steel producer Qatar Steel has kept its rebar prices for June unchanged as compared to last month at the level of QAR 2,500/mt ($687/mt) delivered to the UAE.
 
As buyers in the UAE had been waiting for local producers to announce their rebar prices before evaluating rebar import offers, these buyers may now conclude some import bookings this week.
