Demand in the local Turkish merchant bar market is still very weak and purchasing activity has almost come to a halt. Meanwhile, prices have remained stable over the past week but they are considered to be on the high side, and so there is room for negotiation on current price levels.

Meanwhile, in the local Turkish market merchant bar prices depending on size, thickness and region are at the following levels: small IPN-UPN are priced at TRY 1,310-1,370/mt ($489-511/mt), angles are at TRY 1,300-1,360/mt ($485-507/mt), while flat bars are at TRY 1,320-1,380/mt ($493-515/mt).
