Buyers in the local Iranian billet market have postponed their purchases due to the approaching Iranian New Year (starts March 20), while trading activity in the market has slowed down during the past week. On the other hand, domestic 150 mm x 150 mm square billet quotations in Iran have remained unchanged over the past week at $345-355/mt ex-works, including nine percent VAT. Market sources state that no significant change is expected in the local Iranian billet market before the New Year holiday.
