According to market sources, ex-CIS billet offers to Turkey have been reduced to $285-290/mt CFR, for October shipment, declining by $10/mt compared to price levels recorded yesterday, September 29. Meanwhile, Chinese billet offers have decreased to around $275/mt CFR for orders for large tonnages. Market sources state that CIS-based billet suppliers have been forced to adjust their offer prices to Turkey due to low-priced Chinese billets. However, no new ex-CIS or Chinese billet deal has been heard in Turkey yet.
