According to market sources, prices in local Taiwanese rebar market are currently in the range of NTD 13,150-13,200/mt ($428-429/mt) ex-works, indicating a decline of NTD 525/mt over the past two weeks, though prices on US dollar basis have declined by just $9/mt in the same period due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate. Meanwhile, Taiwanese buyers are discussing whether to cut their production, which would support an increase in their local sales prices.
