SteelOrbis has learned that this week wire rod end-users in the local Turkish market are maintaining their daily or weekly purchases in order to send their orders on time. For the time being, the end-users appear to be uneasy with the continuously changing price levels and are trying to keep their purchase quantities down to minimum levels.

The current drawing quality wire rod prices in the local Turkish market are as follows:

Region

      Price

Trakya

      $882/mt

Marmara

      $896/mt

Iskenderun

      $1,330/mt

Aegean

      $1,080/mt

The above prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and excluding VAT.
