Omani rebar market players concerned by decreasing prices

According to market sources, so far in the month of March rebar prices in Omani market have indicated a significant decline of $15-20/mt, in line with weakening demand. Accordlngly, local producers' rebar prices in the Omani market have started to range approximately at $485-490/mt ex-works. With no sign of an improvement in rebar demand in Oman, market sources state that domestic rebar prices will continue to move on a downtrend in the coming period, prompting strong concerns among market players.
 
Meanwhile, Chinese rebar offers to the Omani market have not indicated much change as compared to early March, while they are currently in the range of $385-390/mt CFR.
