Nucor-Yamato Steel Company has announced to customers that it will be keeping its wide flange beam (WFB) transaction prices stable for October orders.

Effective with shipments during the month of October, Nucor’s raw materials surcharge (RMS) will be $213 /nt ($10.65 cwt. or $235 /mt), a decrease of $171 /nt ($8.55 cwt. or $181 /mt) from the company’s September RMS.  Nucor-Yamato will make a corresponding upward adjustment to base prices, leaving net transaction prices unchanged for October shipments.

In addition, Nucor-Yamato announced its fuel surcharges effective October 1, 2008. The fuel surcharge for truck will be 37 percent, while the rail fuel surcharge will be 31 percent.
