Nucor-Yamato announced Friday that effective immediately, the Raw Materials Surcharge for wide flange beams (WFB) will be $210/nt ($10.50 cwt. or $231/mt), reflecting a $58/nt ($2.90 cwt. or $64/mt) decrease from the June 1, 2012 surcharge.
Additionally, Nucor will increase the base price for WFB by $28/nt ($1.40 cwt. or $31/mt). The net effect of this move is that transaction prices for these products will decrease by $30/nt ($1.50 cwt. or $33/mt).
Effectively immediately, Nucor-Yamato's WFB prices will be as follows:
